ceramic teapot by Michael Barsanti

The designs of Michael Barsanti's pottery emphasize an organic twist on traditional forms. He uses only one glaze per piece, allowing the natural properties of the kiln to draw forth a spectrum of color and texture.

Michael Barsanti received his M.F.A. at the University of Minnesota working with McKenzie. His home and studio are in Sharon, Vermont. Barsanti has served on the faculty of Boston's Museum of Fine Arts since 1981.
