Sculpture

Michael Barsanti creates ceramic sculptures in addition to his functional pottery. This page portrays an installation of one of his tree-like forms in Woodstock, Vermont.

Some of the same gestures dominant in Barsanti's teapots, bowls, and plates are apparent in this installation, such as the spiral in the grass. In turn, some of Barsanti's lids reiterate the sculptural form.
